GETTING STARTED ON YOUR KITCHEN

You may begin with a walk thru of your kitchen area. Start by actually preparing a meal. As you move thru the process prepare a wish list of ways you can improve your working steps. Example: We recommend working from left to right, refrigerator-sink-dishwasher-and stove with microwave.

If this is not your current layout, try to envision your kitchen with these simple changes and you will see how much nicer the flow will be. Our designer can assist you with the rest.

Use our DESIGN PLANNER, grid sheet to make a scale drawing of your existing layout. This will be useful for our designer to work with your dimensions, window locations, and plumbing.

Consider adding rollout trays in cabinets that are too tall or hard to reach. Add a cutlery drawer for your most used knives.

After we have worked on your design, consider changes to lighting. Changing a few light fixtures by adding some spot lights or drop down fixtures on the island will accent your island as well as helping to light your new “prep” area.
